Went with the Rexing V1P

Amazon Amazon

My friend has had the lower version (without rear camera) for like 4 or 5 months and has been really happy with it. So I had this sitting on my Amazon "wish list" and got a notification on my phone that it was on a deal. So i nabbed it for $98 with same day delivery instead of the $125 with 2 day shipping.

Still have not ran the hard wire yet. I bought the add-on kit for it. So you can either run it to an accessory fuse to turn on/off with the car, or run it 24/7 for surveillance. I dont think that would be an issue if you drive the car everyday... but going on vacation or something it might drain the battery.

Got the dashcam and radar hardwired up yesterday.

Previously there were only two cables running to the dash cam (1- power B- rear camera input) as seen in the top pic.

The bottom pic has dashcam power, rear input, gps input, and radar power. Everything has been tucked and ran out of site.

Close up from behind the rear-view mirror

I ran all the cables up the black trim from the mirror, across the headliner and down the A-pillar. Then came behind the dash and used the fuse panel there for ACC power.

Got a few more of the KC lights showing up Friday if shipping is correct. They're going to go on the basket with another weatherpack connection.

Are you gonna upgrade your alternator, or can the stock one handel the extra amp requirements?

I think the stock should be fine. They pull less than half an amp per light. So having a total of 5 really isnt too much load.

SPECIFICATIONS
-Wattage: 5W per light
-LED Source: Samsung 5630 LEDs
-Amp Draw: .42A
-Voltage: 6V-16V
-IP Rating: IP68

That's the real beauty of going LED on everything. I remember worrying about current when I had 4 Hella 500s on the roof of my old Outback.

I initially didn't see the decimal and went "holy crap 42 amps!" then looked at it more closely and realized it was less than half an amp

Friday after work I had some more Lamin-x waiting for me.
Did a light tint on a small section of the tail lights (next to the reverse lights)

Then Saturday headed over to Detail Maniac to get the hood clear bra'd. Man also redid the side mirrors because he's a perfectionist (they didnt bother me at all).

There also might be a new Blake's Garage video coming from DM

Watching them install the side mirror bra was crazy. The tricks they used to get it to do what it does.. I dont have the skill nor patience to do something like that!

While the car was outside drying in the sun, our buddy with a 4" ADF lifted Forester showed up

Does it have to dry and settle before they trim off the excess?

They want it to dry and make sure that most/all air bubbles settle.

Then they wrap the edges under the hood so its completely seamless from the outside.
