i have seen this car on the main road between Hirosaki and Aomori City in the north part of japan. Did you know that you could buy this car the way it is.... i have a book on it, the car was built after the Ver 6 STi in 99.

 

its the electra concept or something. i didnt know they put it up for sale.

 

yeah dude, i though there was only one of those cars until i saw the one up in Aomori. Then a month later, i bought an Hyper Rev Impreza Maginze with lots of cool stuff, this maginze also talks of the history of the WRX from 92 up to 2000. That is how i found out that they sale these cars.

 

yup, the electra was the concept. the one that went for sell was the s201 which was slightly different in appearance. the electra II was a hooked up legacy.

i wonder if anybody remembers the electra II. i made a post about it waaaaaaaaay back in the days.

goodluck finding them. subaru had them for sale back in the days but they were ~200,000 yen at the time. they're HID if that helps any with justifying the cost, hehe. i have no idea about the availability of them now. i know theres some cheap ~$250 twin lamp conversions floating around that look similar but do not have the corner light portion.

my guess is that it'll be a pita to find them. the headlights from the neo electra I never made it to the s201 production run so they were rare to begin with. furthermore, iirc, the kit was only available to s201 owners (like the p1).

the neo electra II never made it to production but the body kit, minus the headlights, were offered for sale at one point in time.

 

I don't think that the headlights are for GC8 look at the differents between the electicra and the pic i am posting.

the headlights and body style looks almost alike!!!
