OMFG! that black RS is DOPE! how'd you change out the fog lights? They look bigger than the ones I've seen on the 04's here!

Standard Australian model. To this stage I have only lowered it, tinted the windows and put on black custom plates. Will be working on it a little more in time. Notice the steering wheel on the left. ;-)

We have a large bumper beam behind our bumpers that other countries do not. Some people have swapped out a JDM bumper beam and JDM or EDM fogs, but don't expect to be covered by insurance in the event of an accident.

Thanks for the info Cabal. I have no problem with the size of my fogs, just curious as to why the USA has smaller ones than everywhere else.

As I have discovered.....the U.S. has more strict safety standards for front end colision.

We have reinforcement that blocks the use of the larger fog lights...it was easier to just put smaller ones in that redesign the front end to work.

If you want to put those larger fogs into a us spec wrx you have to cut the front bumper support out right there...about a foot on each side of the bumper.....

Made me change my mind on doing it...I will just buy new bulbs for mine.

One Man Army, hey no problem I'd rather have two good answers to my question than none

I don't really car about the size of the fogs, I was just curious as to why we were different. Frankly, I'd rather have smaller fogs if it means I get a stronger bumper.
