4EAT w/mods
I have an 02 wagon with a 4EAT. First I gutted my up-pipe, and installed a K&N flat filter. that made a difference in the turbo lag. Then I added a Hyperflow TMIC and STI hood scoop with silicone plumbing. That helped. Then I added the Cobb accessport @ stg.1 / 93, big improvement. I then added a Daddy's segragated dump high flow metal substrate catted DP and his 3CE third cat eliminator, to a Stromung 2-1/2" twin tip axle back, and went to stg.2 / 93. WOW! what a difference. The tranny shifts better than ever, and no turbo lag.
Last I did a grounding mod. Cusco rear anti sway bar with Whiteline forged end links, Stainless Goodridge brake lines, Hayden Trans. oil cooler and STI front strut brace. Added Samco radiator hoses, Purged the the coolant, brake, and transmission fluids, and it is like a new car, I love it! So now it is around 300 BHP,
and I am happy.
The next move would involve STI pinks, WAlbro pump, and IHI VF35 turbo.
Thats big bucks, and I don't know if it would be worth it, So this is where I will stay for a while, until the mod bug bites again.
