Intake feedback
The intake sounds amazing!! I really like it. Its like a suction and turbo sound mixed. Kind of like a spaceship. I notice some jump from it. Not any significant horespower gains but definately more pep in my step. Throttle feel is great. I also noticed because i have a 3" exhaust all the way back more air going in i think equals it out a little bit. Overall i am very happey with it. Hope that helps. Later.

Hey Eli. Looks good! How bout some pics of the body? Also, have you tracked the car and noticed a difference with the strut bar?

Did you start out with the custom map on your AP? I'm getting a new map from PDX tuning soon and I have a similar setup, just wondering how big of a difference it's going to make.

Lovely
No silver suby i have not tracked it but i have got on it pretty good on the street and i notice a BIG difference in handling! STi should come stock with them. I will get some pics of the body for sure. As far as the other question about the cobb AP. When i bought the AP from Mike at Gruppe-S he made a custom map for my car on his laptop and downloaded to my ECU through the AP. When he dyno tested me before the change just with downpipe and exhaust i was at 235 horse to the wheels. After the base map was loaded and he tweaked it a little bit on the dyno i am at 262 to the wheels!!!! I would say a big difference!!!

Thats exactly why 2s2ks. It forces air into the area right in front of the intake. The heat shield around the intake seperates it from the rest of the engine so all the air flowing through the elbow is getting sucked into the intake. I think if the elbow and the flat duct where removed then the air would be getting sucked mostly through the engine area instead of cool air from outside. Maybe some people install it that way but i figured make it easier for the intake and direct the air right to it. Its actually pretty efficient. Thanks for the comments turtle speed. No dyno in maui!!!!!!! Im sorry man. Yeah the guy that did my base map really knows his stuff. It made a big difference. It brought the beast out in my car ya know. What part of maui??? I will get some more pics up soon. My next addition is going to be some tein flex coilovers.

Nice pics....definitly a hot ride, but I would try to get ur hands on a uppipe. You will see major gains with the supporting mods. Helix would be my best bet. thats what I have an i love it.

Uppipe
Hey Troy,
I heard from Mike at Gruppe-S that a Uppipe is not needed on an STi. I was told that it is already pretty good. So you got an STi?? And you have an Uppipe on it? Big difference?
Thanks,
Eli

there's no cat in the uppipe on the sti....so there's no need for an aftermarket one.
