The Beauty Collection

Well I decided to start a new art collection that I'm gonna make. This collection will infact feature our beloved Subies. I am in the process of making a series of vectors of WRXs and hope to make a video as well as part of the collection. So, if anyone has any footage of them driving, or others, or any footage that isn't already copyrighted by someone, please contact me via PM or email. I'm just doing this for fun and wanted to share with you guys. Here's a little sample of what one STi vector is like...

Hope you guys like it.

I use Photoshop, but most people use Illustrator for vectors like this one.

Nice job! What is the process you use in photoshop to get that affect? Ive been using photoshop for years, but have yet to run across a way of creating that effect easily. Let me know! Thanks

Its not an effect you can put on a picture.

He is probably drawing over the top of a photo.

Do you mean filter? In that case, none. There is no quick easy way to do this and have it turn out like this. I go in by hand with the lasso tool and map out the different sections of the car that have different shades of color and fill them in one section at a time. Then I blend them with gradients or other techniques if neccesary. This one too me about 5 hours to do a couple nights ago.

There is a filter called Cutout under the Artistic category that makes something like this, but no where even close to the detail of mine. Thanks for the comments guys!

edit: njc200 beat me to it.
