AWDPirates.net Supermeet: 6/4/05 (56k = Death)
Saturady was the first "Supermeet" that we had on the new site for Colorado AWD owners. It's really mostly Subies, but we just like to make Mitsu's feel welcome

We met up at Noon on Saturday at the famous Red Rocks Ampitheatre. It was a craptasatic day, raining and drizzling (which never happens in Colorado) so many thought that the turnout would be bad. They were sure wrong
. 55 cars were there at one point, and a few others were there and had to leave.

The beauty of Red Rocks:

Another view from standing up on a hill:

The Colorado Springs group:

We also had some VERY fast subies come by. This was the most powerful one that came. It is a GC running around 500whp, on a Ej22t block. It also had a very tastefully done widebody to fit those gigantic wheels.

Then there was a Outback Sport that has a very neat Air-Water Intercooler:

And there was also a Black RS with 400 and something whp:

Jay's wagon on TE37's:

Last pic:

Overall it was a very fun meet, and I can't wait for the next one!

I talked to him for a while, but frogot his name. He is parts manager at a local dealership from what I've heard. He has done quite a bit since he bought it though, as he said it was running ~ 415whp when he bought it and now its running ~510whp
Here's a few corrections:
The black '98 RS is actually the most powerful car that attended. He holds the record on Tarmac's dyno. The white car was having a lot of problems when they tried to dyno it, so he has yet to beat the black car's record, but that's not to say it isn't fast.
The white RS belongs to a guy named Bret Carter, and he's done a lot of work to it since he bought it. It's now for sale for $23k, IIRC. He's not a parts manager, he was a technician at Mike Shaw for a long time, though I'm not sure what he's doing now.

And here's the uncorrected graph off Tarmac's dyno: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...iewrx/Dyno.jpg
And yes, the white car is Byron's old car. Bret has had it for a few months now.
