Question Trunk badge question...

Does anyone know if the oval Subaru badge on the trunk is stick on or bolts through the trunk? I think I like that over the SUBARU lettering on previous models.

They are defintely on the right track with the headlights. I cant wait to see what they do with the body styling. Im def. feeling that mid wing too, that thing is pretty mean lookin.... did the older models have those diffusers on the rear undercarrage? Is the engine the same? what about the ACD? It wouldve been bad *** if it had a 20/80 split. Once that piggie is dropped low, shes gonna look wicked mean, please keep us updated. BTW black is the color. whats the grey look like, thats a nice color too, and white would def. be nasty.

There are holes in the trunk. Currently on a quest to find out if the 05/06 trunks are identicle other than two holes for the badge.

Nope. I was in a hurry after working the deal all day to get out there. Since my car was delivered the night before it still had plastic wrap on it. I asked them to hurry and they did. Inspected, crappy wash, and not enough gas. That was it. They are going to fill it up then wash and wax when they put the short throw in.

Cool...thanks for the info. After I posted that, I found the badges for sale and pics, realizing that they had holes to mount. The trunks look identical. I bet it would be a straight swap if you found one.

Is the emblem on the front the same size at the back? Isn't the one on the front glued on?

very clean ride.. just cant believe Subaru hasn't beefed up the engine at all in the past 3 years.. seems like Mitsubishi is continuing to have success milking the 4G63 in the Evo for all its worth and adding HP and Ft Lbs of torque every year..

maybe its just me but I would have liked to see the 06 pushing maybe 315-325 stock..

awesome car though.. I have an 05 STi and wouldn't trade it for anything close to its price..

Seriously though, without changes in turbo or something like compression, this is easy enough with the large selection of EM out there. I know that a lot of people aren't willing to modify, and I see your point, but I don't think Subaru is going to change the HP output until they create a new model (ie, not impreza, or a different impreza chassis). Even then, it's not about the output but the weight to power ratio, etc.
