I'm new to the subaru community.
I'm coming over from honda-tech after selling my beloved type R. We are having a baby and needed something a little more practical.
So after purchasing the wagon it was painfully obvious that understeer HAD to be taken care of. Along with better braking and body roll. So after researching on this board and a few others and trying to keep the budget as small as possible these are the modifications that I chose to fix the problems.
1st. 20mm rear sway bar from fhi. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.
2nd. tein basic coilovers. Because of the price, made for my application, and a matched spring/strut combination. ride height adjustable is just a bonus.
3rd. whiteline front camber bolts. obvious reasons.
4th. alignment and increased front tire pressures. less tire rollover during hard cornering. front is 36 and rear is 29.
5th. Russel stainless brake lines. $125.00 for increased brake modulation.
The last few modifications were for appearance. Window tint, fog covers, debadging, and blacking out the front emblem.
More modifications to come; better brake pads, tires and a cross bar kit for the roof.
Just wanted to share my experiences with researching and modifying what is a new platform for me. And I'll probably meet some of you at some auto x or track days.
Here are the links to the pics if they don't show up:

Very nice!
Did you intentionally put the 02-04 wheels on your 05? On the CGM the 05 stockers look great IMHO.
How did you black out the front emblem?

All I did for blacking out the front emblem was cover it with a spare piece of black vinyl.
I stuck a big square on it and then cut it to fit. You can only tell it you get right up on it. And this way if i decide I want the emblem back all I have to do is peel the vinyl off.
cheap fix and I like the way it looks.
