OK so here's the deal. i traded my bike for this unfinished 2004 wrx hybrid project. he didnt finish it cause he said when he finished and put engine it to start it , it started smoking alot. he took engine back out and just never got back to finishing it. the car sat for 2 years with no engine it it as well as engine on engine stand. Mind you this is mu first subaru build. Me and my friend took it apart found that he was using 2.0 headgaskets instead of 2.5 headgaskets. so i bought both head gasket kits put car back together she started with no problem first try. idle was rough but we found the throttle cable was loose. but now the check engine light blinks and goes off sometimes I know its a misfire we did a check with computer number 4 misfire. we switch the coil pasck stood the same . we cleaned injectors drained fuel put new fuel with cleaner and then the misefire was cyl 2 and 4 then the cyl 2 fault went away and stood on 4. we cleaned the crankposition sensor, mass air flow, we are going to do a compression test today. have i missed anything. its startng to wear me down here. it drives fine no problem you dont feel any misfire. any recommendations.
