1998 Impreza L Wagon

Well i just bought my !998 Subaru Impreza L Wagon and i knew i needed to change the look on it. I plan on making it off road capable.

My Plans right now include obviously a repaint i would like to get a body kit not really sure what out there of my car im gonna put the spoiler on it. as for anything else to do to it i dont really know and am open to suggestions.

well right now im kinda blown as my car isnt gonna pass state inspection until i get my brake lights to work

well my project is being set back more as yesterday when i was driving my car started to overheat and i looked to see what was wrong and the radiatior has a 6 inch long crack across the top. So now i have to replace that

i went to a junk yard and found an almost brand new radiator in one of the cars there i will put a better one in once i have the extra money but i was tight on funds right now. But atleast the radiator is fixed now i need to replace all the vaccum hoses in the car as most of them leak.

question my car has a outback engine but it doesnt have the egr valve am i gonna need that for my car? right now my check engine light is stuck on and i have to get that off so my car can pass inspection

That's great then, no real need for a performance radiator unless you plan on tracking the car or driving it aggressively often.

It honestly depends on the state. Some states will automatically fail you if there is a CEL, others could care less. Check your state regs.

  • Make sure the amber-colored OBD "check engine" or similar warning light is not illuminated or the vehicle will fail the OBD test. If the light is on, you should see your dealer or repair technician before coming in for the test.
