Trying to decide if I should clear out my 04 lights or black them out so i wanted to take a quick poll. Since most of you are from cali, i think you guys have some of the best taste in our cars.

Oh and if you could post some stock lookin Black 04/05 WRX's with either clear out or blacked out lights that would be awesome too, i looked through the black thread but best examples i saw were a TS and some STi's. i'm also thinking of getting (dark greyish) rota torques, sdr's or jdm sti rims, so i guess those are ok too but i'm stock for now.

btw does blacking out the 04 lights effect light visibility?

 

I vote blackout. Personally I left in the orange parking light though, I like that little bit of color...

 

i voted for cleared lights. it gives it kind of a gun metal look to it at night. imo

I didn't notice any decrease in visibility after the blackout. After all, the part of the reflector that throws light forward does not get painted.

 

clear...

 

clear is the way to go on black. unless your going for a very dark all black look ... even if that's your choice, i'd still pick just clearing out the lights. it's got a nice glossy look to it

 

i like clear... but orange turn signals are nice. Basically i like the JDM headlights.
im going to do that on my black 04 once i find a good oven.

any of you guys got more cleared out lights on a 04 jbp wrx/sti ? I think I see more blacked out pics than cleared out

 

its all about clear. 05's got black housing. orange bulbs though or clear ones that flash orange

 

****...i read it wrong lol. i thought it said what tail lights so i voted stock. whatever now that i read it right id def go blacked out.
