So in my infinite genius I bought a Rotora big brake kit without double-checking that it would fit under my 17 x 7.5 Rota Formels. Well.... it sounds like it wont. The spokes come in a little bit near the top, which creates a nice lip and looks awesome, but gets in the way of these brakes. Subaru 4-pots, btw, DO fit.

Anyway, so before I capitulate and sell the BBK and get '05 LGT front brakes instead, I thought I would try to swap wheels with somebody.

I got these in December. They have not touched a curb, have no scratches, chips, etc. Aside from a little dirt, they are as-new. I have 215-wide Yokohama AVS ES-100's on them, but I would happily dismount the tires if you only want the wheels and have other ones sitting around or want to keep your tires or WHATEVER. I'm open to different scenarios as long as they end with me having wheels that will clear my brakes...

I'm not extremely picky right now. I don't have specific wheels in mind [well okay. If Rota I would want boosts, torques, TII's, or attacks. I would go for 5zigens, etc etc]. Pics of my car w/ the wheels are below... it's a silver car so I don't want gold wheels. Other than that I'm open. I really, really like my dark wheel w/ polished lip look, but whatever. My preference would be light or light-ish (weight) wheels in a dark or dark-ish color... but shoot your thoughts/offers my way. And if you've got SSR's or Volks or something, I can probably throw some cash into the deal so we come out correctly... but I'm running low on $$$ after the brake purchase.

btw -- if you really want the tires to come with the wheels I'm sure we could work something out. They've got 6,228 miles on them... my last set of ES 100's went 24,750 miles before it was time for new ones. Seriously shocked they lasted that long! nah dude thats a WRX scoop..it has vertical slats and no bump thing inside the scoop in the middle.

After the "deer incident" I got a Legacy L hood to replace my stocker. The L hood is totally flat up the middle, unlike the GT hood with the molded-in scoop (which is wider and deeper than a WRX one so it cannot be cut out). However, the underbracing of the L hood still has a circle part where a scoop would go... same underbracing as the GT hood and maybe RS hood. ANYWAY, I got an STI scoop. A hole was cutout and tabs were bent down so it mounts exactly like it does on the WRX. Bolted that bad boy on... been smiling ever since

They don't clear Brembos

 

No, they wont clear the Brembo's. The calipers on those bad boys are wider even than Stoptech or Rotora, and most other aftermarket kits.

I appreciate the offer though.
