FS/WTT: EJ257 short block

SOLD! to GusGus, thanks again!

Hey,

Has low compression of ~130psi +/-. Was running when removed with no knock. Was pulled by FLI for another i-clubber who was upgrading a turbo, was decided at that time to replace with a new shortblock to support his new power goals. Would make a nice build motor.

$400 obo or trade for:

I can add cash when needed.

5x100 wheels that clear brembos
Defi boost gauge with controller to allow for expansion
Quality 3" cat back or turbo back exhaust prefer catted DP
Quality headers, EL or UEL
Bike roof rack
Escort radar detector
EWG setup
Spearco Tmic
AP v2 for 04 STi
Side feed 850cc or larger
F&R sways w/ endlinks
Or ???

Thanks,
Derek

Pm's replied.

Possibly interested, how loud is it? Do you have a DP to go with?

it's decently loud , straight through exhaust to a muffler. I do have a DP for it but i would like to keep that considering I still need a DP when i go electronic cut out. i might be able to add some cash ontop

That may work, I'd probably try to pick up a hi flow catted dp to tone it down a bit. PM me your offer, have any pics of it?

Thanks,
Derek

No, does not knock, just low compression on one of the cylindars. Was running when pulled. The shop recommended a fresh motor for the previous owner, believe he was going with a bigger turbo.

Things I would consider in trade, I can add cash when needed.

Defi boost gauge with controller to allow for expansion

F&R sways w/ endlinks
Or ???

Or if it sits here long enough, I'll build another motor.
