Damaged front end... High miles... Your lucky if you get ...6k for it... I personally wouldn't pay more than 5k for it but that's just me... Free bump for OP...

Op... Understand that your selling a 12yr old car that you don't know the maintenance on.. It's not in good shape cosmetically .... If you really want 7k or watevs ... Post it on Craigslist and sell it to someone who doesn't know subarus... Here , no one will pay that much. We know subies here ... And pay WAT THEY ARE WORTH...

Like I said i am in no hurry to sell this. I am asking $6800 and I am willing to negotiate for serious buyers. It does have cosmetic damage. People who are interested make me an offer and we can go from there. I was posting here in case someone was interested but I will post on craigslist also.

If you want to buy the car, then PM him some offers. If not, then leave it alone. If the price is too high then it will not sell, but your comments are not helping anyone.
Take for instance someone who might be slightly newer to the suby world, or a lurker looking for their first suby.
If I didnt know better I might pay his asking price, only to regret paying it later. With us discussing it in detail like we have we not only inform newer buyers but inform the OP that we as a collective club believe he is asking too much for a car with spotty records and body damage.
Im not flaming anyone, certainly not the OP. As it turns out I was going to buy an outback from him but couldnt get the money together fast enough. Im only trying to

Free
for you OP!

That is why there is the Kelly Blue Book. In any Subie situation, especially with any pre-2002 body style, you are generally going to pay more than KBB. So I ask who is at the disadvantage, the enthusiast or the "uneducated" buyer who looks at KBB? No hard feelings
