I might be interested in just the phone. What condition is it in?

its so-so, theres some small scratches on the front and on the rear, I'd much prefer to sell it together though, it's pointless to sell one or the other.

Sorry to burst your bubble, I'm pretty sure if you do a transfer of liability to someone else's name you lose the unlimited plan.

I used to work for Verizon, and now I am working for Sprint, and that's always been the case, since when you switch over it does renew the contract in some cases.

I called and checked with verizon, they said everything should be ok.

edit: follow up research online, straight from a verizon employee (see last post)

when you transfer the contract into someone elses name they make you go on a current phone plan and you will not be able to keep that unlimited data... and stay with vzw!! tmobile is wack and bad service!

I get better speeds on tmobiles HSPA+ than verizons LTE where I live,

also, not true about the plan switching thing, i've checked with verizon 3 times to be extra safe.

are you sure... I have ATT grandfathered unlimited and I just don't see VZW or AT&T honoring that

ATT doesn't allow it, but VZW does

When you have someone take over you account vzw will run credit under that persons same. Making a new account number, you "unlimited" data won't transfer the a new BAN (billing account number) they have a back end system that can do it but good luck with that, they want you I the new data plans that cost a lot more then the good plan you have.

To the op I would hold off till you get true LTE with vzw, tmobile is garbage and still not running LTE yet. Vzw is a great provider and I'd stay if it was me.

Like I've said, i've checked and they said no problem, transfer of assumption of liability is common with verizon (google it), AFAIK, the only way to lose the unlimited is if you buy a subsidized phone.

also, verizon hasn't been good to me, tmobile has better service with faster speeds in my area, and I've already switched (its less than half the price for what I use)

true LTE won't be hitting anytime soon, I'd much rather save some cash on the monthly bills and put it towards something more worthwhile (20G TURBOOOOOOOOOOOOO)

edit: https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/787462 <<<<<< Read the last response from a verizon employee (Dated november 2012)

" \At this time, when processing an Assumption of Liability (AOL) you will be able to retain your upgrades and your unlimited data plan."

T-Mobile has had LTE in San Jose for months now, runs just as fast as my AT&T LTE speeds.

I work for T-Mobile and have both AT&T and T-Mobile, and my T-Mobile Note 3 has been able to get the same coverage/speed as my AT&T iPhone 5S. I really think T-Mobile is turning around, at least in the bigger cities haha.
