WTS my 1985 Toyota 4runner
Tis a sad day, but I need to move on, I never go offroading anymore and I hate to sell it, but I need the money. It took me over a year to find this truck and I've spent lots of money getting it up to a level that I wanted it at. I was building it more as a dependable daily driver and expedition rig more than a rock crawler. I wanted somthing tough and dependable that could last me for a long time after the apocalypse! The truck will be sold with brand new tags (as of 7/1) with a new smog cert. I kept just about every receipt for every service done to this thing and I religiously change the oil every 3k miles.
1985 Toyota 4runner: this is considered the unicorn of Toyota trucks because it is the only year of the fuel injected 22RE and the solid front axle.
Engine / performance :
15k miles on a built motor built 2 years ago by Putney's Custom Machine in Chico who specializes in 22R motors. At the same time a new OEM clutch was installed along with a rebuilt w56 5 speed transmission.
The build included:
+0.020 bore with King pistons, rods and bearings
+1mm stainless Forrea valves
Custom grind Putney's cams
Enhanced oiling valve train with upgraded springs
Corteco head gasket
Cleaned and flowtested injectors
and much more!
Also Replaced: water pump, timing chain, oil pump, and belts
Interior:
Replaced all interior lights with LEDs and added LED maplights.
Removed all the carpet and rhinolined the interior so it can be hosed out
Grant GT steering wheel
10 switch switch panel
Upgraded cigarette lighter wiring for using big power inverters
Exterior:
2 part epoxy marine grade olive drab paint, rockin a Huck Gee sticker on the side!
Cut fenders for clearance
2" lift with chevy springs in the rear
Black rockcrawler steel rims 15x8
33x10.5x15 BFG KM2 tires with lots of tread on them
Rear spotlights for backup lights
Smittybuilt rear tube bumper with trailer receiver
All pro front winch bumper with a smittybuilt 8000 lb pound winch
For the full asking price I'll keep on the winch and throw in all of my spare parts and upgrades which includes:
Bigger brake calipers and pads which were just rebuilt
4" lift allpro front lift springs and 3" rear blocks and a Ubolt flip kit
4" extended "terminator" shocks
Extended stainless steel brake lines
Set of "offroad" heddman headers
Box of spare parts including: MAF, alternator, water pump, charcoal canister and a bunch of other stuff.
The only work that this truck really needs it that the axle seals on the front leak, but besides that this truck will run forever if you treat it right!

I picked up a diesel which I'm converting to run on waste vegetable oil, I wanted to put a diesel in this one but I've got one too many projects. I'm seriously going to miss it though.

I could've sworn I saw this truck in South Sacramento sitting outside of a smog/repair shop a while back. Only remember this truck because of the Huck sticker
