WTP/Help wanted: STi side splitters
Ok so... I've wanted them ever since I got my wagon and I think I'm finally gonna order a pair of the sti splitters from subarugenuine..
I've seen the youtube video etc. and seen many on wrx's myself but I've heard "they dont fit perfectly" one too many times so if im gonna do it I want to get it as perfect as possible, that said anybody a pro out there at doing them? I'd be willing to pay somebody some cash to install them/i could meet up at your convenience
just seeing if anyone is willing/has the secret pro skillz to the splitters, let me know! thanks

Negative. The oem splitters are good to go and fit perfectly. You'll make a few incisions in your existing bumper for the clips and the surrounding pieces around the stock bumper have rubber to seal the deal.

I think he is talkiing about the bottom of each splitter needing to be trimmed in order for that small (lip) to sit flush.
That is really not too hard... cutting the slits for the tabs is slightly harder... just take your time and go really slow... you will be fine.

I'll install them for you, guaranteed perfect fitment after my job is done. I only charge.....hrm......1 MILLION YEN O_O PER HOUR.
Jokes aside, You can do it yourself and it's fairly simple. Just like everyone else said, take your time with it and you'll do fine.

I used a drill bit to get the hole started and then used a dremel with a bit like the one below to enlarge the holes as needed... worked great!

I literally just did this a couple weekends ago... except I was able to find a Sedan WRB bumper (doing a widebody conversion) so I didnt have to trim the bottom of the splitters to make them sit flush.
I havent permenantly attached them (with 3m automotive adhesive tape) yet, just the tabs in the top and a couple body pop-pins in the bottom of the bumper.
