I just bought a wrx trunk w/wing and need to find a decklid with no 3rd brakelight. I have a decklid with a 3rd brakelight I am willing to trade. Shoot me a PM if you have one.

 

decklid=trunk (or so I thought)
parcel shelf=carpet behind back seats

just take it out, go to kragen and get more carpeting the matches to color of the carpeting already in there, and recover the entire thing (use spray adhesive) Thats what I did...it looks great and I got rid of the child car seat hook things too.

1) cut carpeting to match size (then put it in the drier to heat it up)
2) remove all plastic parts from parcel shelf
3) spray shelf with adhesive
4) as you lay the carpeting on to the shelf, use an iron to keep it warm so it'll mold to the shelf properly.
5) from the back cut out all the holes
6) squeeze the plastic parts back in (it'll be a tighter fit since theres more material now)

If you want, you can get a 3rd brake light delete plate and put it under there too, but theres only a very minimal indentation where the hole is from the light

 

i believe all wrx/sti's come with that 3rd brake light by the rear window.

well unless she put one on hers then STi's came with them in 2005

 

don't know what shes done with hers but I know cars that came with a wing don't have that third light.

I just said nope because law said he thinks all wrx/sti came with that third light.



To the OP I know Onizuka is looking for a third brake light might want to try and pm him.

 

STi's didn't come with a 3rd brakelight by the rear window, the wing has a brakelight on it as does the wrx wing.

 

I like the way I did it because it got rid of the damn child seat hook things too, I just didn't color match it very well

 

I was wingless thats why I have the 3rd brakelight.
