Do those turbo's just bolt on? Please explain...

 

No they do not bolt up without modification. I have to send them out to a guy who "converts" them. Honestly I don't know what has to be done.. but I do know that the exhaust housings is one of the main things changed in the conversion. I'm guessing you have to customize the stock WRX turbo with the stock VR4 exhaust housings.

Lag might be a little crazy on the stock WRX's but these turbos do wonders on my type of car. It's probably the best bang-for-the-buck turbo upgrade I can do without going TD05 (which means completely new headers...etc) With fuel upgrades, and the turbos themselves.. for around $1600 (the turbo conversion is $600 alone for both) you can get 400 wheel HP, realistically, on normal pump gas. Not bad eh?

i thought the vr-4 came with the td04 turbos? i know that is what is on my brother in laws.

 

Yes they come with two TD04 9b turbos... AKA extremely small turbos. Theres no point in pushing these turbos to the limit, max is about 10psi to redline, and it's basically blowing hot air anyways.

Stock WRX turbos is probably the best turbos I can get (in it's relative price range) without going TD05
