I've got one
I bought a mostly complete engine... a long-ish block that I was going to put into another project. It was a hybrid rex heads on a 257 shortblock but had blown a spark plug, been repaired and then it blew again.
as it sits, it's a hybrid waiting for competent spark plug hole repair and a new owner. Has ej20 manifold, h20 crossover, all covers, all sensors, water pump, timing belt, tensioner etc.... Turbo and piping is gone and while the injectors are there, I'm not sure why but the last owner pulled the seals and left the injectors (why?) the coil that had the blown plug is busted but the others are there. (It's still assembled and turns over fine. I was planning to pull the one head, repair the plug hole and put it right back into service and I'm sure you could too. It's been in my garage now for the last year under cover. I just want to blow it out, make a low offer. crap, make a low ball offer and we can start there.
If you just want the shortblock, you'll still need to take it all, not because I want more money, but because I want it gone. the shortblock was not from another sti car, was dealer NEW. I can tell because it's got the DOT stamp instead of the VIN. LOW MILES although I'm sure they were not just to the church on sundays. If this puts you where you want to be, and at least puts some money back into my pocket, then I think we can strike a deal... by the way, I'm in Petaluma. A short trek but this is for sure worth the drive. I'm gone (away from home) until thursday night but can take pics
