Here's my paperweight, I'm going AWIC so don't need it. It's taking up room that could be filled with ****!

Brand is SSAC/Ebay, basically the same deal.

First, make sure you you get a TMIC that is compatible with drive by wire throttle of the 06+ WRX/STi models. Some generic models are based of the drive by cable of 02-05 models and can have fitment issues.

I have a correct model Spearco that I used on my '06 WRX. I have the Y-pipe and all of the needed hoses. It was holding 310whp/310wtq on GSTs dyno with room to spare.

I do not have any pictures on my work computer, but I can post some later this evening if you are interested.

You sure about this? All the guys running STi TMICs on WRX's might have something to say about that

I never said anything about STi intercollers, only the big aftermarket WRX TMIC ones. Stock STi top mounts are a lot smaller than any of those units, so there is no reason for fitment issues.

When I was shopping around for mine, some of the major brands such as TurboXS, Spearco and Perin had two distinct models of TMIC available for sale; 02-05 and 06-07 (08s haven't come out yet). Getting a wrong one apparently can result in fitment issues. I have not owned a pre-06 model, so I cannot speak from personal experience.

But, here are couple examples (Spearco, Perrin and TurboXS) from Oakos Automotive, they carry two separate lines depending on the model year. I am just passing on advice I received during my searches.

theres a HUGE diff between a offbrand/ebay/css/ssac tmic that says it will fit a dbw car and the real spearco/aps/perrin that actually fit correctly.

i would be interested in a spearco for a dbw car if the OP isnt/hasnt pulled the trigger.my aps if great but i think it may not be upto a dom3 were with the 20g i made 347 and zero knock on 91

Perrin TMIC

Just spoke to Chris at Perrin (tech) and he said that their TMIC will fit all WRX AND STI 02-07 incl dbw. The different part #s for the WRX and STI are for the y-tube to hook up to a WRX. The intercoolers are the same. This Perrin is avail and is a good alternative to the others and less costly than the other name brands still avail new because it's used (hardly) and I just don't need it anymore. Perrin discontinued this recently.
