WTB: red tmic to tb coupler
Looking for a RED coupler. The one that goes from my sti tmic to my 07 wrx throttle body. Not sure on the size, but if you have one you're willing to sell or know the size, or even better, know where I can get one, please do share.
TIA!!

I just measured mine. It has a 2.75" id and is about 2.4" long. So I couldn't find any 2.4" long ones but there's an abundance of 3" ones. So can I buy a 3" one and just cut it? or is it a bad idea to cut silicone hosing?
If in doubt, FLAT OUT

Has to be red? If you can find the STI one for less, that's the only one I can think of that comes by itself off hand.

Samco sells the set in red, but not sure if you can get just the IC to TB one by itself. Might call Mach5 to see if they can do just the one.

Ya, the sti one is too baller for my budget.
I doubt the samco comes by itself to since it's packaged as a set. But there's tons of decent 4ply ones around for much less.

i want... for my ebay tmic
and yeah, $15! that's funny. for a $3 (at most) piece of silicone hose.
edit: holy sh*t! $55?!?! and I thought $15 was funny... but i guess it is embossed with the STi logo... so maybe $55 is worth it.

So, does anyone know if it's alright to trim a piece of silicone to right length?

i have a feeling it'll look like poop after you finish... you'll have the little threads sticking out all over the place and you might not get an even cut. other than asthetic, i don't see any issue.
i would personally say to keep looking for a good deal on the samco set. cause those are great.
you might want to check with a reputable shop or your personal soobie master tech for their thoughts. <disclaimer>
and, they probably have one for a couple bucks, like $7 or something at least somewhat reasonable...

Ya, that's why i'm asking. I know they sell some silicone hosing in bulk and say cut to fit, so maybe it would be alright. The same one that they sell in cut to fit they also sell in a 3" variety. It's a tial sport 4 ply and I only would need to trim a half inch and is less than $10. Maybe i'll give it a shot. Worst case scenario I retain my stock black one and lose $10.

edit: or if your a good customer, they'll prob just give you a piece.

Unfortunately no local subie shops either.

If it was like $15, it might be worth it LOL.
