WTB: quieter exhaust

I currently have a hks hipower turbo back exhaust that I have a buyer lined up to buy, hes supposed to buy it next week or the following week. I want to go a little quieter like cobb or maddad or stromung. Trying to get rid of the drone that is at cruising speeds with my hi power. I love the sound but my passengers don't really like the drone... :/

I don't care if its replica or not as long as it still performs. Hoping for a full 3" but hey, you never know, money talks.

I'm willing to buy either just a catback or a full turboback. If I buy a cat back, it needs to mate to an aftermarket downpipe.

If you have a sound clip, post it up or you can pm me for my number to send me a video or whatever.

I do NOT want a blank plate down pipe like the hks I have. I want a bellmouth design.

Shoot me a pm or post on here, either of which is fine, I'll subscribe to this thread so I get email alerts.

I don't plan on spending more that 275 on a catback

Is it currently on your car? Where are you located in the bay area? I think you may be the winner, I also found a new m2 performance cobb style exhaust on CL though so I may go with that one depending on the prices

wheres he located? Maybe I can meet up to hear the exhaust and what not. Does changing the headers make a difference, I don't plan on doing that.

in in Sunnyvale, i go to SJ a bit. Wind up in the Evergreen and East side area most when im in SJ. The exhaust is on the car. let me know if you want to check it out. ill take you for a ride so you can hear it in car at speeds and RPMs so you can get a good idea for the sound and tone.

Headers will change the tone as will a DP. I have a Perrin Dual cat DP so the exhaust has a nice tone to it. I'm also on stock exhaust manifolds. I was told once i install my Tomei UEL header it going to have a deeper sound. Im curious how it would sound on a catless system.

Oh dang, I probably hear you pass by my house a lot then, I live right off Aborn in the evergreen area, near the library and church, right there. Sounds like a plan to me!
