Looking for one pronto. Mine is dying quick.

 

I got a spare one with less that 18,000 miles. Let me know I'll let it go for $100 picked up in my place. Also, are you sure it's the alternator? Does it drain the battery? Did you remove the negative terminals in your battery while it's running and see if the car dies? Did you run a test on it or take it to kragens or autozone to check if it's ok and etc.?

No tests. Crossing my fingers. My stereo wont stay on. Haven't noticed many of the usual signs. Getting a noise like bearings going in the alternator. 160k on it. 4 years with 800 Watts.

 

Take a look into that to save some cost. Ask one of your suby buddies if you can borrow their alternator and see if that helps. I just keep one as a spare because they do go out, heck mine went out and I don't even have any stereo system in my car.
