WTB: HID Kit

I'm looking to buy an HID kit for my 05 wrx. Anyone know any shops within the sac/central valley/bay area where I can go pick one up at a reasonable price? I really don't want to get one off of ebay.

no offense bro, but if you buying aftermarket kits, some ebay sellers are pretty much the same as the store ones. I had your mind set when buying a kit for a friend, and when i did, they refused to honor the warranty and tried to string me along until the warranty was out (ahhem F1spec). i bought a 24$ ballast off ebay and he was pretty honest and even posted that some are faulty and he had no problem replacing it within warranty. but if you determined to get one in a store, 3D audio on irving st in sf or speedzone in sf are pretty good.

+1 for mobilehid.com, I think they offer a small discount for i-club members (although that was about a year and a half ago when I picked up mine). Checkout their videos

I'm in the process of having my DDM kit RMA'd right now. So far, they've told me the bulbs are going to be replaced but my ballasts may not be.

Short story: Ballast doesn't fire up all the time so i would have to turn my headlights on and off all the time. The bulb on the one htat does work went out due to the excessive off/on from getting the ballast to light up. Hopefully that made sense..

If i had to do it all over again i'd stlil get the ddm kit.

Why are they saying that the ballasts may not be covered?
