I get my Greddy Evo2 tomorrow. Cant wait for UPS to knock on my door. Got tired of waiting around for a deal to fall in my lap so I ordered a new one from Grip Motorsports. They are in Arizona. Paid 605.67 with shipping.

 

Just found out these guys are local to me, about 20 minutes from where I live. I shot them a email, but I wonder if its still available as it was available 2 years ago and this year they moved on to the HKS Hi-Power knockoff...

But from I read, the ERZ Evo2 knockoff is a full 3", no taper.

 

In the picture on the site it looks like it tapers...also, from this link on Nasioc it looks like it tapers just barely ERZ

Let me know when you find out from them if they are still selling them

 

OK..u are correct...researching fro Nasioc, it does Taper..but heck for the price I will have it cut and then do a full3 inch...But I heard it sounds raspy than anything..any soundclips u guys can discover?

 

I could never find any sound clips of it from Nasioc. But the guy in the post I linked to said it has some resonance to it at idle. If it's raspy I dont want it, LOL.

 

I found this video on youtube but I dont think its the Evo2 knockoff. Might be the recent one they have on sale now, HKS knockoff.

The Evo2 knockoff seems like the muffler section is alot smaller compared to the Greddy. Maybe thats why it might soundy raspy.

 

Ya, it looks like it's angled so it must be the HKS knockoff. Here is a clip of the ERZ Spec 2, sounds pretty good to me.

 

OK guys..Got off the phone with ERZ, seems like the SPec2 is made by Tsudo Exhaust..They use to order it from them and rebrand it with there name. There is no more production of this exhaust....

 

Its also called a Tsudo Type X

WTH, did you paint the canister? That's not a new option is it?

 

Yep I painted it with BBQ paint. Good up to 1500 degrees.

Also hyper29 asked if the taper had any affect or performance, I haven't felt no difference. The taper is only about 1 1/2 inches, really no big deal.
