I had a set of 04 xt struts, and the rear tophats of them wouldn't fit my 2002 wagon. I had to use 2004 xt complete struts in front, 2004 xt struts with 2002 wrx top hats and previous gen (in this case 2000) forester springs to mate to the top hats. Only then could I get em slapped in. I have that set for sale now if you're interested already assembled as I put in some forester coils that were pnp. Let me know. They are at my mom's house in Oakland and I'll be there Nov 7-14.
