Hi all.

Here is a list of items I am looking to purchase. Maybe someone has something in their garage or extra parts that they don't need. Hope you guys can hook me up. Not really in a hurry, but definitely stuff I would like to do in the next few months.

I need:

Priority:

WRX rotors [I got the fronts]
'05 brake pads for the front and/or rear [fronts I got]
Motul 600 brake fluid or ATE Superblue [need this]
Tire Pressure Gauge
Air tank

Not so Priority:
Would like to borrow tires to see what rubs and what doesn't.

I'll be doing my rear rotors sometime soon. They're slotted and I'm not sure if it's been turned though. I'll be getting some brembo rotors and new axxis xbg pads for the rear and I also have some I believe they're hawk or carbotech rear pads and have alot of life left on it. The rear pads on an RS should be the same as the WRX since they have the same rear caliper I believe. If you want, you can have them Kevin

You should definently look into some Axxis metal master (XBG) pads, they're pretty damn good for only being $35-45$

how much are you looking to spend on each item on your list?

 

oh yeah...I'd hope you'd at least buy new fluid on that Motul if you really need motul

Haha. As little as possible. Just getting the word out there. I know people always have stuff lying around or are planning to something down the line. I guess you can call this an early dibs.

Yeah. I've been auto-x'ing the L for about 5 or 6 events now. My fronts are the 2.5RS that no one knows where it came from. My rears are off an '05 WRX. Just trying to get some new stuff in. I think my brakes components are kind of beat and to be honest, I would really like to be able to keep track of the life of the components.

Pretty sure I still have a full set of 04 rotors. And front Centrix rotors that could use a turn just sitting in my garage.

 

oh...and any reason you picked motul? Not really necessary and you can get better fluids if you want an upgraded fluid. That stuff sucks in my opinion.

 

No reason. Well... when GST bailed me out of trouble with the rear hubs, I also asked them to install SS lines and do a full brake fluid flush. Forgot to specify... so in went Motul 600.

I hear mixed things about Motul 600 and even Ate SuperBlue. I really don't know the difference because I haven't compared them before, but I do think SuperBlue comes out to be slightly cheaper.

I might be interested in your Centric slotted fronts.

 

Alright. I'll pull em' off the shelf and clean em up. Check the condition. Shoot me a price. I don't even remember what they go for new.

Think I might have some pads around too. Stock and Hawk. But I am pretty sure the last set of hawk pads I have for the front got snatched already. Still have some for the back though.

 

Kev, I had ATE Blue for more than a season now and no regrets. Not sure how Motul is but I've heard good things about it.
