WTB: Cobb AP for '05 WRX

Looking to locally purchase a Cobb AP that will work with a '05 WRX (I believe an '04 will can be reflashed with '05 maps). This is for a '05 9-2x.

Thanks,
Derek

Hey Projectwrx,

Thanks for the heads up. I was more interested in something in the range of $500. I know I can get them off of the Cobb website for $603.50 shipped to my house. Not to mention for that price it includes support from Cobb if anything's wrong with the unit. Let me know if your friend is willing to lower the price.

Thanks,
-D

Why don't you just go to gruppe-s? They'll give you a dyno tuned it and give you a 1 map for $100 more.

I didn't know they did that. I think I may go and do that. The only thing is that I was eventually going to stage II and then that would require another protune. Maybe I can postpone the dyno tune until after I get the exhaust components... Hmmm....too many option...

Thanks for the tip.

I would definitely wait for stage II before getting an AP. I hear the generic maps for our cars do poorly on CA pump gas. Start saving

I just got an AP for my stock '04 WRX, and it makes a noticeable difference. The power and acceleration is much smoother and the throttle seems more responsive. I'd recommend finding an AP for as cheap as possible, then after you go to stage II get the custom tune.
