WTB Catted Downpipe
It's that time again for reg and smog. I am tired of having to get my catless dp swapped out for a stock one in order to pass smog, so I am looking to buy a catted dp. Prefer north of the golden gate or at least willing to meet me north of the golden gate.
The car is stage 2 with a borla catback so it has to mate to the cbe. If nothing appealing pops up I might just try to buy a stock one and go back to stage 1.
Thanks,
-Ray

modified stock heat shield. they're not going to crawl under your car either. myself and other subie owners have had no problems passing with an aftermarket catted downpipe.
i've also had a cop not notice either.

Ugh, bad timing for a bad situation. Friend was going to buy my car, had to get it smogged for the bank to give him money then the bank wouldn't give him all the money he needed.

I've experienced the exact opposite.
Around here they even throw your car on a lift for "inspection".
But I've heard what you're saying from other people too. So I guess it comes down to how lazy the smog guy is.
One thing I do know tho: if they officially "fail" you, it goes in the cars record. And I don't want to take the chance of that happening. Just my .02

In that case, you would be better off with a stock dp so you have NO problems with anything. It's a hit or miss with smog guys.
