Unless you are running more than 500hp, the factory intake is great. With an aftermarket intake you WILL lose torque plus you will need a tune if you want one.

well i heard you need one if you surpass 300awhp... i have a 07 wrx that i am putting a vf 37 twinscroll setup and i am expecting over 300 for sure with what i got, i figured a new intake would be needed... getting a tune for sure too...

I would honestly never get an aftermarket intake on my car, especially a short ram. The stock airbox does just fine. Throw a K&N drop in filter and remove the silencer if you like the sound

I got an SPT one and it sounded great and every thing, but I really noticed a power drop in the top end. I switched back to the stock intake and now I can feel the top end better. Stock intake FTW.
