I'm looking to pick up a beater for around $3000. Throw me anything!

2 door, 4 door, it doesn't matter. As long at it is reliable, as it will be a daily driver.

Prefer a rwd or awd, because i hope to make it a track car after a while, unless it is a truck of course.

Examples:

e36 - Hopefully... which model and year is best? no more 90's bmw's
e30 - Hard to find reliable? I have no background in bmw's. no more 90's bmw's

miata- Would love to find a 94+ but is it comfortable for a 6 foot 200 pound dude?
2.5rs- Never sell for anything below 6k these days.. =[
tacoma - What years are good for these?

I think you should look for good deals on 2.5RS', my friend bought '95 RS for $1200 in pretty good shape

 

Prefer to stay away from the civic/crx crowd, not because they have no potential or anything, just like rwd more

If i found a deal like that, I'd be stoked!

i would stay away from 1990's bmw's imo. Just too expensive for parts alone to work on

 

Oh mkay, but I always hear about how the e36's go for ever, like >250,000 miles.
