bumping this thread as i am leaning more and more towards the hawkeye conversion. i plan do do a custom front end setup.
my plan is to eventually (on both FE's) create a one-piece front end. by trhis i mean i am going to mold everything together (fenders, hood, bumper, lights) meaning there will be no bod lines on the front end. this makes it easy to swap front ends whenever i so please. also, the hawkeye will be my SHOW setup (karlton flares molded to 07 fenders) i am also going to spend a lot of time on the rear fenders. my goal is to create a setup that allows me to swap between OEM 06-07 STI rear flares and karlton rear flares. OEM STI flares to go with bugeye front end and karlton rears to go with hawkeye front end.
ideas/thoughts/+ crit/suggestions gladly welcomed. you dont like what i got going? guess what, it aint ur car, so beat it. other than that, lmk who has a relatively cheap 06-07 front end they could sell. SEDAN FEs only
a few pics i swooped off the web:

and of course Blue-T-Wrex's super clean bug-hawk swap

Sell me your sedan bugeye fenders!! like right now LOL!! As far as the one piece front end goes, I think it would be a cool Idea but how easy would it be to use and swap over or when performing maintenance on the car?

as far as front end, im toggling the idea of running euro style (bmw e30 i.e) where the hood is hinged at the front bumper insterad of windshield. it for sure is going to be a lot of work, thought, and fab. but im game. seems like a project that will be a great convo starter at meet
