Yeah don't even know what happened, loooud whirring whistle noise on load at 2kish and the around 3k again, uphill only,sounds sorta like it would be trans or diff, but then what seems to be compressor surge sounds off so paul and I thinkin turbo

interesting... you're intercooloer hoses ok? I'll PM you info the TD04 I got a PM about that's up around you. Too far for me right now.

I got a dude in San Jose that I might try to meet up with if he's still got one when I take my brother in law to the airport.

im up in sf now, i was on 17 driving up and heard the noise so i turned around dropped my car off and took my gfs 2.5i

ill check on that later, paul said turbo inlet, checked that and it was fine..

Yeah those were my guesses... inlet and intercooler.


What got removed in your last repair cycle? I'd start there. Maybe something got left off or didn't get tightened enough... or just let go.

Gonna be tough to locate without being able to watch/listen under load.

Bump again...fixed a disconnected pcvvalve but noise is still there, albeit at a lower volume
