Those things are available all the time. My price would be in that 350-400 range. $500 is way high and way to close to what you can find them straight from the source... warrantied.

I'm trying to lock down a V1. I just need something to flash over with. Not gonna be messing with tunes... ever.

I offered him $400 he countered with 450, so I declined because I have a v1 ap I can trade in for the $200 credit. I just don't want
To wait for shipping.

I seriously doubt he'll get $450. You could wait him out for a couple weeks

If you're only going to get tuned once and leave it, open source is a great way to go. Just remember that it will be $400 every time you need a retune or return to stock for smog.

I did this once, the whole process took around a week. You'll have to wait a couple days anyway just buying one used. I would just trade it in.

I don't think he would charge $400 just to flash a map that he has on file. At least I would hope not. It's a 5 minute task. Your v1 is just fine for what you are using it for. Mine bricked my ecu when I tried to un marry it, lol. That's when I did the trade in program, had them unbrick my ecu at the same time.

My v1 is a paper weight. It's for a 05
Forester. The guy who sold it to me lied to me.

I just want a stage 1 tune. Will I not pass smog with that?
