WTB: AC Compressor

I need a fully functional AC compressor. My car is an 04 wrx, so anything that works with that. The newer the better.

All I need is the actual compressor. You willing to let just that go? I don't want to transplant my entire AC system.

Are you sure its the compressor? Have you tried/looked at the expansion valve?

The what? I don't know jack about the AC system. Most of my cars have either not had it or not needed it worked on. The AC on my caddy is whatever air I can pull in through the windows over the glass of ice on my lap.

But saying that... I'm about 99.9% sure it's the compressor. If you turn the pulley on it it grinds and doesn't want to turn. I think the clutch in it is toast.

Ah ok gotcha. If its not turning at all, then ya its prolly the compressor.

If the compressor did turn on but it didnt blow cold, of course try filling it with freon. After filling it, if it only lasted a couple days, it would prolly be your expansion vavle. <-- Thats a fun job

They generally go for $50-125. I did find one for $30 yesterday.

I figure fair prices is $50-100 depending on condition.

I think the STI ones are different though. I'll let you know. It looks like I'm gonna buy the one off STEEZE.
