Ok guys I have decided that I want to do a swap rather than getting an STi...im not going to get into here as to why...its just what i want (yes i know i have waffled lol, but this is the more logical thing to do for myself and id prefer it anyways .) I'm looking for a

98-99 RS Rally Blue Pearl PREFFERED or even white
or
00-01 RS BRP 2DR or even white

99RS is preferred since it has a 15.90 gallon fuel tank rather than a 13 gallon tank like the 98's
it MUST be a 5spd manual and not beat up body wise or a horribly salvaged car...i will consider a salvage car...but i would need to have it inspected by a shop of my choice. im looking for a good swap canidate here that will temporarily be my daily driver for a little bit previous to having it swapped. I'm not in a rush to look for it, but figure I'd start the hunt now I owe $4600 left on my current RS and I will be paying it off shortly so I can sell my RS to get the 98-99 or 00-01 2dr...PM me for details and pricing...i prefer within the nor cal area and not rusted out and also in good running order that WILL pass smog legally. I'm not looking for the lowest amount of miles here and not looking to spend 10-13k+ on an RS. TIA!

 

Ha you'd be all over my car if I was selling it. I could sell it but it would cost you a lot more than you're looking to spend. So you pretty much want a 2 door for a swap and not use your 4 door?

 

yep i want a 2dr...i got a tip that a 98-01 RS with wrx swap may come to sale and i think ill get it if that tip becomes true

 

The 98 RS only has a 13 gal tank? My 98 OBS has a 15.9.

I am going to have to check my manual. I looked up sites and it indeed says 13.2 for the 98's but 97 and 99's have 15.9.

Dunno yet...everything on it is stock...has a new clutch done at gruppe-s, new slave cylinder done at LIC, all the work has been done at LIC except for the clutch. it has 82k on it...an 01...only mod it has is a 20mmRSB that ill leave on there
ill probably be looking between 10,500-12k figures arent exact...im trying to get more info on this particular 98RS i want

Search for threads posted by user name "Vishnu" and you will find it, it was at the end of 2005...not sure if it was sold or not.
