WTB: 2006/2007 Impreza

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to buy my 4th Subaru and I just can't find any decent deals. If the 08 imprezas didn't look so Assy, I'd just pick up one of those from the dealer.

I'm looking for a 2.5i, WRX, or STI. Just looking for a manual Sedan at a decent price. The dealer wants me to pay around 16k OTD for a Used 2.5i sedan.

I'm not trying to pay that much, when new is so close to that.

Let me know.

You can pick up a nice 06-07 2.5i sedan for 11-14k nowadays. Low miles and everything!

Huh, that's weird. When I was searching I found all sorts of good deals. Autotrader.com, Cars.com are the only places I look.

really depends on what exactly you are looking for...

i'm sure from a private seller, you can get close to what you are looking at spending.

i personally, waited until i found a lease return (certified pre-owned), as i know it wasn't modded or thrashed on, and has low miles... looked for a few months, found a 07 wagon limited, in july 2010, 18k mi... in 3 years. but cost me a bit more cash than what you are looking to spend.

just keep on looking.

@ BeE, I saw that but I really don't want to pay that much for a Limited. I think he wanted around 20k. I'd rather not have leather seats either

@ NORCAL, Yea that is a great deal. I keep looking on autotrader but most of the cars are over priced or auto. I really don't want to do wagon either. I'm still looking.

Actually I wouldn't mind a wagon, but this would be the GF's DD and she doesn't want a wagon.

how many miles? any warranty remaining? also, you know you can offer on cars... pretty much all prices are negotiable and nobody ever posts exactly how much they will accept. there is a aspiration point price, a target price, and a "walkaway price". the aspiration price is posted. target is what they will accept, walkaway is pretty self-explanatory.

I didn't want leather at first, but now after 6mo of owning it, I love it... much easier to keep clean than cloth. ~$20k is what these limiteds ('07 ltd w/ 15-18kmi) are going for now, with a warranty at least. Just don't spend $14k on a lesser car, then in the 1st 3 months, drop $6k into it... cause then you should have just spent $20k... imho. why doesn't she want a wagon? she does understand that the seats don't fold down on sedans... which completely sucks imo. these wagons are pretty nice. i will say though, that the noise in the wagon's cabin is a bit louder than the sedan's.

yep... just keep looking, and at other stuff, not just through autotrader.

@NORCAL - Yea, I know where you're coming from, but I used to have a TL and I just hate the cold leather on cold days and hot on hot days. I also don't like that they end up cracking.

I've never had problems with my 03 seats. She just doesn't like wagons, like totally hates them. I regularly look at cars.com, vehix, autotrader, craigslist.

Oh yea, I forgot, I have an 07 GSXR 600 that I'd throw in if interested. Never been dropped, 15k miles. Was my commuter for a while, but I hate riding it in SF. So motorcycle+cash on my side.

but you're in SF! does it ever get hot there? just tint your fronts and call it good... and seat heaters FTW

the cracking, shouldn't happen if you take care of them, give them leather food every year and keep them out of direct sunlight. pretty easy.

I'd say turn your bike into cash that you can drop on a car, instead of trade+$.

Hahaha, I've been trying to sell my bike. Nothing but flakers! I'm open to offers on the bike though, but most people are like: How about a 96 accord wagon + money on my side? Hahahaha. I'm not interested in wagons?

Lexol regularly and leather will last a lot longer. It WILL wear out over time though. Nothing you can do about it.
