If they haven't been valved specifically for that setup, I would opt for 7k/5k. Both are far too high for standard BC BRs. Hell, even the 7k/5k are. It will kill the ride and the dampers. Both what you have and what you want are race rates, not street rates.

thanks. i remember on a previous thread you mentioned re valving. i understand i need to revalve. right now im just feelin out different rates (you dont know how they actually feel until you actually run them IMO) im not going to revalve the struts yet. im not running the higher rate springs for more than a week during my "trial phase" i swapped in 14k springs without revalving then took them off 4 days later. now serious question, do i really need to revalve for instances like those? once i dial in my prefered rate, i will revalve or buy new carts custom valved from the get-go.

also, im not necessarily looking for the best handling with my neww project (stiffer springs) im going for more the ability to drop with minimal shco ktravel to minimize fender rubbing. im soon picking up STI parts to build up the STI for this car, at whcih point, im going all out on coilovers (still in research phase) but getting the right ones.

Proper damping is critical to ride quality, though you said yourself that you want to toss that out the window considering your aim is to eliminate suspension travel. If your spring rates are too high for the dampers it has trouble controlling the spring and you get excessive bounce from any impacts, which is bad for ride and is taxing on the damper internals, which is why ideally you want them to be matched for each other

For what it's worth, I have a friend with 12k/11k springs on his Megans and it's hilarious to watch him drive by. His car bounces everywhere.

BC springs have a 62mm ID the 65 swifts will fit but not snug.

for sure. thanks for the input bro. as i said before, eventually, ill be buying top notch suspension for my then STI. im aware that my BC BRs are not top of the line. id rather experiment on these shocks and dial in my STI setup the right way rather than F up the STI coils cuz of trying out diff springs on them. im still in the experimenting phase and trying diff things out. people can say whatever about whichever setup, but in the end it all come sdown to how the owner of the car likes the ride. ive been asking around at what setup people are running. there are a lot of diff setups out there and everyone loves the way their scoob rides and handles.

for what its worth, i will deff keep your very accurate input in mind

for sure. thanks. no adapter or what not needed? im guessing the springs sticks out a little from the top and bottom perches? or are the perches tapered to match ID of 62MM

thanks bro. im going to see if i can first get a little bit cheaper pair. i may not even run the springs in the end and would not want to spend 150 if i can pick up the same springs for 40-100 and either resell or keep.

thanks gain for awesome info. didnt know they were out there
