Did some searching, nothing too recent on here. doing koni's and need some donors for my wagon.
anything will work as long as they are 02/03 and wagon. mileage doesn't matter.
im in berkeley.
can drive to pick up.

Can't help with availability but you can actually use 02-07 donors. The spring perches got made thicker at some point but at otherwise the same. It's the tops that got changed for the 04-07.

The Koni inserts can go into either housing, and it's the particular model of insert and the top hats that then make it suitable for loading 02/03 or 04-07 springs.

im fine with 04-07 but i'd need the tophats too then.


I'm fine with buying em, but if someone has some they just dont want/need and they just want to get rid of that would be amazing and would def buy you a sixer.

That's the point: you can use whichever Konis/tophats you like with any year donor struts. You only use the lower of the housing for the Koni build, and that's the same across all years. You can buy whichever inserts (02/03, 04-07) suit your choice of springs and tophats, but the donor struts can come from any year.

 

oh RAD. i always thought i needed to match 02 struts/02 hats or 04 struts/04 hats. thanks man
