hey jeremy Gruppe-s is looking for an sti to test out the gt30r kit. I think you should go for it, unless you already have a turbo beast of your own.

How thick is the cf? How many layers? And I can't tell from the pictures, is there a lip? If there is, can you make one on the back, too?
Krinkov,
That's a little expensive and not necessarily the best alloy to use... (alloy 3003 is a general purpose alloy) but I guess if you are painting or powdercoating it will be OK.
I did just a quick search and you can get a sheet of 5052 Al (Corrosion-Resistant Marine-Grade) in 2' x 4' size for $50 (McMaster P/N 88895K66 for reference). I'm sure IMS can match that price or any other metal supplier.
I'd love to get a set of spec's/dimensions or a drawing if you can fax them to me, or I can PM you with a fax# or email address. I've been wanting to fab one of these for awhile and have never bothered to remove the plastic shield and make the measurements for making one out of aluminum.
Let me know if you need a laser/water-jet cutter because I've got a few guys here in the bay area that can bang this stuff out in no time and you only pay for time on the machine - the more parts you cut, the cheeper it gets.

Heres what they sell the size you would need for one of these plates at one of the larger online metals wholesaler

sorry guys, Im not flaking on these, work just got crazy this week, I WILL have 4 of these in Aluminum ready to go by months end, 2 with subframe, 2 without, I will also hopefully have a couple in CF ready to go too,
The final price will be AL - $85 CF - $150
BTW drama, I think you may have misread, these will be in aluminum OR carbon fiber, not some crazy aluminum/CF composite, if such a thing even exsists
