Sway bars from the wrx and STi are different, it's how the rear lateral links bolt to the endlinks. The sway bar is actually narrower on the STi. They can bolt up, but the endlinks will be on a noticeable angle.

Im actually kinda confused.. don't alot of ppl upgrade there 17mm wrx sways to STI sway bars? if thats possible then why is there a difference in 27mm? on a wrx and sti?

How were hard turns with that 27mm in the rear? what size are you running up front? I heard you lose traction a lot with anything over 24 but I really know jack **** personally about suspension mods.

^^ I didn't do many hard turns with it on. i was planning on getting a 24mm front sway after the rear. there is alot more oversteer though(maybe because my tires were balding) LOL.

bigger RSB= oversteer.
bigger FSB= understeer.

Increasing the diameter of your sway bars will have two main effects. They will modify handling balance in terms of steering bias (understeer or oversteer), and they will increase roll resistance. Like many AWD platforms, the stock STI is designed to be biased towards understeer, meaning that the installation of a larger rear sway bar will eliminate the rear end grip bias and provide a more neutral handling feel. By adding a significantly a stiffer rear swaybar, grip can be biased towards the front end of the car, effectively eliminating the factory understeer and creating oversteer.

I have both bars at home, i'll take measurments of the two bars. I just swapped my wrx rsb out for an sti bar, I changed my rear lateral links so they would align up correctly. I could have physically bolted the sti rsb to my wrx later links, but the endlinks would not have been completly vertical, they would have been angled due to the difference in length from the sti rsb.

I'll be happy to take those end links. Let me know if you still have them.
