Hi there guys. Im helping a buddy of mine out and trying to sell his car. It is a 1999 white rs. The car is in great condition. my buddy is a service manager/technician. He really kept the car in great condition. I mean you gotta see it to believe it. Just shoot me a pm or call me 408-416-6070 JAZZ.
P.S Its white on gold and comes with aftermarket stereo system. Also, i believe it has a catback exhaust. Any questions at all let me know.
He is asking 9,000 OBO. Really he just needs this car gone so just let me know.

not to thread crap, since I really know nothing of the car. But could someone explain to me why a '99 RS is worth 10k?
I only ask since I have a friend who's just starting to look for a used RS, but a '02 WRX would only go for like... 12k?

The car is in great condition and i mean it is a must see. When you see it you will not believe the condition. Plus it is a unicorn. Does that not count for something. Also it is OBO. So hit us with an offer and welll see

Much like this car?

RS's are fun. The reason that they cost so much is just the hype/supply&demand.
The RS is:
lighter than a STi/WRX
cheaper on insurance than a newer WRX/STi.
a sleeper
less were made than STis/WRXs
its one of those... you just have to own one/cult following.

Even if it had 50,000 miles on it and in excellent condition... It's hardly worth $8K... I've seen a lot of WRX's 02-05 go for $ 10,000 with mods in it... So IMO, 10K is a pretty high asking price

if you're not in the market for one, don't thread crap its not cool to the OP.
Bottom line is: the RS is worth more than a WRX. Will most banks loan that much? I don't know. But, the seller is attempting to get it and he's ok in doing so. The NCFS section has been getting HIT with people that just thread crap.

I thought a unicorn was an RS with a WRX/STI engine/tranny swap?
Anyway, its simple economics. (relatively speaking)
RS = high demand, low supply
'02 WRX = low demand, high supply
Bump for some pics.
