Two Laptops (P4 Mobile 2.0GHz & Apple PowerBook G4)
Hello,
Asking: $350
This was my personal laptop for work that I bought and maintained (I'm a Systems Administrator). It is clean (dust free, except for the screen, which I'll clean before selling).
It is preloaded with Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2. I have added an Intel Wireless A/B/G card, so you'll have maximum WiFi range.
The processor is a Pentium 4 Mobile 2.0GHz. It comes with 512MB RAM, a 40GB hard drive, and a GeForce 420 Go Mobile (32MB) Graphics card, Slot Load DVD-ROM/CD-RW Drive (will read DVD's and play DVD movies, does not burn them but will burn CD's at 8x speed). The screen is a 15.2" wide screen. It also has a SVGA Out, S-Video Out, Microphone In, Ear Phone Out, External Volume Adjustment & Play Buttons, 2 IEEE 1394 Fire Wire Ports, 2 USB 2.0 Ports, 10/100 Network Port, Phone Line Port, LPT Printer Port, and PCMCIA Slot. The keyboard was replaced by Best Buy about 6 months ago (I haven't really used the laptop recently) and it comes with 3 batteries. 2 of which have been used and 1 still in box. The package includes the adapter, laptop, original installation CD's, manual, and even the original box if you want it. I've taken very good care of this laptop and it should run with no problems at all.
There are only 2 things wrong with it:
1) The lower USB port is has a funky connection due to me having to reglue a plastic piece into it, I suggest only plugging in a mouse to this port and using the other port for USB media.
2) I had to cut open the side of the laptop so you could use the switch for the Intel Wireless Card (it will turn the wireless radio on and off via this switch, don't worry, it looks clean and it's easy to flick with a pencil tip or a toothpick).
That's why the laptop is only $350. It's perfect for someone who just wants to surf the internet, play older games, watch movies on their desktop, etc. You can take it to class too if you're a student, but you may need to keep it plugged, as the battery only lasts 2 hours. It's perfect for the student that needs to type documents at home or someone who just wants a small computer at home for general multimedia.
I will have the computer reformatted so it's clean, preload an Anti-Virus and office tools, along with a DVD player program.
Anyway, here are some photos so you can judge for yourself. It's in great condition and the hinges are perfect (they were replaced when the keyboard was replaced).

Here's the modification I made.
