1998 subaru impreza 2.5rs

5500

oh yeah this is the car i bought off james.

i bought the car like this. the only thing i did was just oil change.
no money for any tune up yet. shoot me some offers and i'll
will see what i can do because i need a dd and i am in a big *** financial
problem.

there are some problems with it since i bought it.

minor cosmetic damages
-friend scuffed my rear bumper
-hit and run in the rear quarter panel. its not big.

-the throw out bearing is starting to squeek
-slight rod knock
-2-3k to fix

i tried to take care of it the best i can but i ran out of money
been having really bad luck with this car. now i am in debt
and just need to pay off bills. maybe its not for me right now.
but hoping to get another one in the future!!!

enjoy. email is the key.

rod knock means you need to:

pull the motor
tear apart manifolds and strip it completely to bare shortblock
get replacement used good shortblock or new shortblock
swap all gaskets: head gaskets, all other gaskets
clean out oil pan for metal shavings from spun rod bearing
re assemble everything
new up pipe and dp gaskets
then reassemble everything and make it proper. at least a day, if not 2 days of work for someone mechanically inclined. just gaskets and fluids will start at ~150, good used shortblocks are usually about 3-400 bux if you are lucky.

about 20 hours of work at least
