Hey there, what model is the DP from? STI?

 

just for reference, if you put it a stock dp for smog, you'll also need to put a stock exhaust on, most stock dp's down work with aftermarket exhausts, the flange is a little different on the bottom of the stock dp, and dp's from 02-07 wrx are the same as sti, it'll fit

 

My CBE is a MadDad Whisper. I've been told by several shops that it can mate up with the DP even though it will be a 2.5" --> 3" transition, at least enough for smog.

But what I'm not sure about is the WRX DP being the same thing as the STI DP? I thought they used completely different turbos with different hotsides, different exhaust systems? I dunno.

If he has a WRX DP and the WRX DP = STI DP, then I'm good

 

the sti and wrx turbo's are almost the same, but housings are the same size so they'll mate up, ie: when wrx's do the jspec sti turbo upgrade vf34

Even if the DP is from a 2.0 WRX? Are there any differences between the 2.0 WRX and 2.5 WRX DP? The transition was made in 2006.

 

No differences. I'm using an 05 STi dp on my 07 swap.

still have the ecu? i'll be finding out on tuesday if i need a new one...
