For Sale Subaru 04 2.5L Turbo Short Block

Used Forester Turbo 2.5L Short Block, Has 5k on it, will fit
2002 to 2004 turbo 2.0L or 2.5L, time to upgrade! $ 600
must pickup, no shipping, This short block is same has WRX
STI , and will also fit 2.0L heads.

Sweet...are we sure that the STi2.5 and the XT2.5 are the same block? What are you upgrading to? Got any pics of your new motor?

Short Blocks are the same, you need to use the 2.5L head gaskets, and on a 2.0L you also need to check compression ratio,

A bigger turbo, STi injectors, some sort of tuning...

that's just a start since I've never done it.

The other parts needed 2.5L head gaskets, intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets, water pipe o-rings, oil pump o-ring, crank seal,
3-bond sealer for oil pump and oil pan, water pump gasket, oil pump pickup o-ring, drain plug gasket just some of what you need any other questions (650)580-1007

I can check on parts cost , but labor is up to you. I'll get back to you tomorrow on parts cost.

Car Info: Black WRX, X.S. turbo back exhaust, X.S. cold air, and a lot of plans

As an idea on cost, the bear min. parts you will need is the engine gasket set, about $300. I know the dealer around here will do the whole thing for like 3 grand out the door, only inclues the shortblock, gasket set, and the labor. You will need a new ecu, injectors, fuel pump, and the skill (or money) to tune it.
