hey theres a 1998 legacy 5 speed for sale on CL for $200 if I remember, think they are the same, check it!

^ Yes! But makes sure the gearing is right. I believe 98 legacy's are 3.9fd, while the '00 rs is 4.11. However, $200 is a steal on a tranny!

Its all good the info u gave is very useful. I just need a tranny that bolt up to it because I'm using rs setup for a bug project
