I am talking about the playstation 3, anyone who has one of these units
knows the great lengths taht many of the resellers had to go through to get
one of these things. More than 95% of the people I asked if they were going
to buy to keep or buy to resell said they were going to resell it.

This is disappointing, even when selling the xbox I managed to make 2x the
profit, now there are so many ps3's out there and the worst thing is that as
buyers waiting in lines through old winter seasons, we fought each other to
get them. Now that it is time to sell the things we are fighting each other
once again. We should be united and have a set price.

I cant believe it, some of us flag each others postings on craigslist, while
others try and upbid another persons listing on eBay, what does that matter?
It isnt going to help sell yours any time quick because a mad seller will
make an account and upbid your listing in return. We need unity, stop trying
to get jealous of the guy who sold his ps3 on ebay for $15,000 it didnt go
through if anything the realest bid he had from that auction would have
netted him $1100. And at the price of the PS3 at $650 after tax the Xbox360
did way better than this in terms of turnaround.

Now everytime i post up my ad, if it hasnt already been flagged someone will
go to the insulting level of asking to buy the machine for a meer $650 or
$700 or even $600 which is less than the price paid to the store. Come on be
realistic, i'll smash my system or open the box and play it before I ever
decide to hand a machine i waited days for to you for retail cost.

please do smash your ps3...they are junk and sony is junk...you and everyone else that got crap done to them in the lines deserved what happend to them, just to say you got it at launch and resold it for more than it was worth...if you wanted to rip someone off so bad go rob an old lady of her purse...id egg you and the person who buys this from you for 1400...is there no shame in the world anymore...you say you are just being a good business man, i can see MAYBE a few hundred dollar markup...maybe to 800 or 900 but more than double?!?! wtf is wrong with people? end venting...

 

lol, all i want for it is 700 profit .. so do i fit in your description? ... and this is all in your opinion, i think the ps3 is a great system, the first to come out with the blue ray in the gaming industry and with it's many contracts with game makers, the system will have the best games soon enough.

 

history has proven any format sony backs will fail...anyone remember betamax, how about umd, wow that really took off, oh and mini disk...only reason it has bluray is cause its sonys baby, they came up with it so of course they are going to force it on the consumer...bluray will fail and your ps3 will be worthless...only thing sony has is a bunch of rehashes from the ps2...hell even the controller is left over...can they do nothing original?

the contoller is actually suckier...no rumble, sony refused to pay royalties to continue using it

lol yea probably. Anyway, I'm lowering the price to $1100 because i need the money to pay for paypal dispute asap. This is just for the system. If you want the games, i'll sell em at store price. Two games go for 59.99 each, after tax 8.25% it's pretty much 130. So everything goes for $1230.

 

yeah thats it...im butthurt i couldnt get one...you couldnt give me a sony product for free, even a ps3...sony lies to the consumer way too much and they just **** me off to the extreme...they knowingly release faulty products and dont care because they are so arrogant, just like the majority of the people that think just cause they have no life and waited for x amount of hours in line that they deserve to charge way over what it is worth...

 

i think faulty is a bad way of putting it, sony isn't the only ones with problems on launch... xbox360 had boot problems on some units... wii has some units that didn't work... i think sony isn't doing too bad on launch (other then short on units and not enough launch titles) only problem i hear is that theres like a hand full of old ps and ps2 games that doesn't work (however that might be fixed by downloading framewire updates) and that the HDMI cable isn't working right on some TV's (but that too will prob be fixed by downloading updates)

 

its not just the ps3 im talking about...almost all of sonys products have major faults...the psp with the high dead pixel count, the ps2 that either wouldnt play dvds or the games(only effected launch ones), the ps1 that you had to play upside down so it wouldnt over heat, and the much touted next gen HD ps3 that is by far unoriginal, using the same controller since the ps1, and doesnt even come with cables that are capable of displaying in HD(both the 20gig and 60gig only come with the composite cables) they downright decieve the consumers and it makes me irate

 

the devils in the details really... but with any new system theres bound to be gliches...
theres nothing wrong with the playstation controller, so why change it? for me, i think its one of the best controler shapes ever made. as for the playing in HD there isn't any system that gives you any cables to play in HD out of the box... (but i feel your pain...hdmi cables are EXPENSIVE!!!) lol, when you said the ps1 over heating and must be payed upside down made me think about how EVERYONE had to mess with there old NES to get it working.... jaming another game on top of the game... poping it into the frezzer, hitting it, the BLOWING was common. but really, everything that had problems were fixed after time not with only sony, but with all systems (cept the NES.... but god did we all love that system)

if you don't like sony thats fine ,i'll leave that be because thats how you feel. but com'on bro, don't say things making sony look bad when the same things happen to other systems.

 

... **** well if you've got a pesonal vendetta with sony, go bomb their downtown location with a van full of c4 for all i care. But get the **** off my thread, cause i'm trying to sell something here. I'm not a hardcore sony fan, but their psp worked fine for me with no dead pixels and i would much prefer the ps2 over the xbox because of the ps2's game selection. I have a sony camera that is the **** and highly rated by many other ocmpanys.. My phone is a sony erricson k800i, one of the best rated phones on cnet, and the first to have 3.2 megapixel camera on a phone. So if you say sony doesn't make original products, your on crack. And when u make something new that no one else has thought of, you do get to make humongus profits. That's why there's copy right laws.
